Your experienced guide takes you by bus through the small
communities, cultivated lands and natural vegetation for a
glimpse of local island life. Unbelievable panoramic
views of the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea spread out
before you and the French island of Martinique can be seen
on a clear day. A Colonial Plantation the Marquis Estate is
next on your journey before going through the small community
of Paix Bouche, the birthplace of Empress Josephine,
wife of Napoleon Bonaparte.
Continue southwards through
the suburbs of Castries overlooking the City and the Vigie
Lighthouse, as you make your way up to Morne Fortune, the
home of old British Military Barracks - converted into an
educational complex named after one of St. Lucia's
Nobel Laureates, Sir Arthur Lewis. Leaving Castries the
voyage continues through Roseau Valley, the largest Banana
plantation. Then the fairy tale Marigot Bay lays before your
eyes, the perfect place for refreshments. Return to Castries
