A Day Out With Nature - "Mamiku Gardens"
Among blooming flowers, woodland trails, tropical fruits, hidden
gardens, silvery mountain streams is where you will learn
of the Mamiku Gardens of Madam De
Micoud, the 18th century French estate on the east coast of St.
Lucia. In 1795 this was the location of the battle between the
French and British over the control of St. Lucia. Now it is a
place for historians, botanists, nature lovers, hikers and writers.
Mamiku Gardens - a place where a repast is set for you,
while being serenaded by the birds.

Half-Day Forestierre Trail - "Low Impact"
Wind your way up through rural communities to the hidden
Forestierre Trail. This pleasant walk is an easy way to see St.
Lucia's forest. Ferns and bromeliads make a shady canopy and
great hiding place for the hundreds of birds that make their
home here. Tiny streams run alongside the paths feeding the
forests’ lush vegetation. Your knowledgeable Official Forestry
guide is on hand to answer any questions you may have.
The
trail is about an hour and a half and you do return along the
same route as you go into the forest. Transfers by open topped
jeep stocked with water, soft drinks and a light snack.
