St. Vincent - "Trinity Falls Day Trip"
A 25-minute flight from George F.L. Charles airport takes
you to the neighbouring island of St. Vincent. On the Leeward
highway out of the capital Kingstown, pass the oldest
Botanic Garden in the Western hemisphere. Drive through
exotic coves and quaint villages on the way to Richmond,
the furthest accessible point by vehicle. A 45-minute hike
through lush rainforest brings you to one of the natural wonders
of the island, Trinity Falls. A 40-foot waterfall descends
in 3 cascades into a circular pool, and then falls another 10
feet into a second pool, big enough for swimming.
The hike
back is challenging for about 10 minutes but gradually
levels out. Lunch and refreshments will be served. After this full day of
adventure your bus takes you back to the airport for your return flight.
