Castries & Marigot Bay - Down in de Valley
On this half day-trip, the first stop is the Cathedral in Castries,
which was given Basilica status by Pope John Paul II on his visit
to St. Lucia in July,1986. Alongside the Cathedral is the famous
Derek Walcott Square, named after one of St. Lucia’s Nobel Laureate,
Derek Walcott.
The trip continues through Morne Fortune,
where we view the Governor’s mansion overlooking the
Capital city. Through Cul-de-sac Valley and one of our largest
banana plantations, you continue south to La Croix Maingot,
which depicts the lush green vegetation of St. Lucia.
Our next stop is Marigot Bay. By ferry, a two-minute water ride takes you
to the Marigot Beach Club for refreshments. Considered by
many to be the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean, Marigot is
situated on the West Coast of St. Lucia, serving as a haven for
yachtsmen from all over the world and the location where the
movies “Dr. Dolittle” and “Firepower” with Sophia Loren were filmed. Take a stroll, a ride, or a ferry ride and witness spectacular scenery.

The Spice of Life - Island Tour by Bus
Starting with Castries and short stop by the Cathedral, this
coach drive takes you to the Morne for a photo stop of the
capital city and the Governor’s Mansion. Then on to the
quaint fishing village of Anse-la-Raye with a visit to a traditional,
mud-oven and sampling of the freshly baked bread
(if available.) Watch the fishermen weave their fishing nets in
preparation for the next “catch of the day”. The tour continues
through the sleepy village of Canaries
and on to Soufriere for the Diamond Botanical Gardens and Waterfall.
After a leisure walk through the gardens you are taken
to a local restaurant for lunch. The village of
Choiseul is the next stop, where local crafts can be purchased.
Next we drive through the fishing village of Laborie and
arrive at Vieux Fort, home of the world renowned
Barons Foods Factory where the tour includes sampling of
products, refreshments, and viewing the production line of jams,
sauces, hot sauce, confitieur and several types of condiments.
All of which is available for you to purchase. Your drive continues

4 X 4 Island Interiors and Waterfalls - Exotic & Tropical
Enjoy an exciting ride to the island's interior in an open-topped
Land Rover Jeep. Hike to a natural waterfall, to swim,
play, and soak up the sun at the coast. Climbing out of Castries,
the panoramic view of the Harbor
and Pigeon point is breathtaking. You'll
pass through St Lucia's largest banana
plantation, see the highest mountain in St
Lucia (weather permitting) and visit farming
and fishing villages. Along the way,
sample freshly picked fruits and cool coconut
water.
Hiking through tropical
bush and along a riverbank, you'll arrive
at an exquisite waterfall (sorry, no
bathing, but cameras are a must). After a
buffet lunch, stretch out on our secluded
Caribbean beach with plenty of time to
relax in the sun & go for a swim. Note:
this tour is over uneven terrain; it is not
suitable for the very young, infirm, people
with heart conditions or pregnant
women. Athletic shoes are recommended
and be prepared to get them wet!!
